Newsletter / Email Service

Our email service may record basic analytics such as email opens and link clicks to help us understand what content readers find useful. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also contact us directly to be removed.

Embedded or third-party content

Some pages may include embedded content such as book trailers, YouTube videos, or social media posts. Embedded content behaves as if you visited that third-party site directly and may allow those third parties to collect data in line with their own privacy policies.

Advertising, Links & Affiliates

We may link to retailers and platforms such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or other book-related sites so you can learn more about or purchase our books. Clicking those links may allow those sites to collect data under their own privacy policies.

If we use affiliate links that may earn a small commission, we will disclose that near the link or in the relevant post or page.

How We Share Information

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. There is currently no universally accepted standard for responding to DNT signals, and our site does not respond to them.

How to make a request

To exercise your rights or ask a privacy question, email contact@derekfermin.com with the subject line Privacy Request. Please describe what you are requesting. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Children’s Privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data through this site, please contact us so we can delete it as appropriate.

Changes to This Policy
